Aitum Action: Play Sound

The Play Sound Action allows you to play any audio file as an action.

This action allows you to choose a file from your computer, set your preferred playback volume, as well as choose which audio output device you’d like it to play from.

If you disconnect an audio device that is selected to be used by a Play Sound action, the audio file may play on your systems default playback device instead.

💡 This can be particularly useful to create a better and more accessible experience for your viewers.

For example, if you have a rule created that allows users to jump scare you with a loud audio file, you can have one Play Sound action with the loud jump scare audio file play to an audio device that only you can hear. Then have a second Play Sound action with a different audio file that is much quieter play to an audio device that the stream can here!

This allows you to still get startled by a loud audio file, and the stream hears a lower volume version or a different file completely. Thus creating a more inviting experience for users who are auditorily sensitive or ‘lurking’!
