Due to the nature of predictions, it is necessary to choose the Outcome manually inside the Resolve Prediction action.
Below is an example of a rule you can create to resolve a prediction. You’ll need to create one rule per outcome possibility, but you can assign each rule to an Elgato Stream Deck button and/or create a chat command to allow moderators to choose the outcome for you (as shown in the example rule).
This rule is created using the if/else action type.
Using the Data Check to get information about the user who submitted the chat message that matches ‘!prediction Outcome 1’ we will be able to use the if/else action type to check if the user who submitted the message is a moderator.
In the ‘Variable’ field for the if/else action, choose ‘Data Check: Get User Info: Is Moderator’, choose ‘Equal to’ for the comparison, with a value of ‘True’.
The ‘Else’ section of an if/else statement is optional.
If left blank and the user who attempted to use the command is NOT a moderator, nothing will happen. Optionally, you can add an action that sends a chat message stating something along the lines of ‘Sorry, that command is reserved for Moderators only…’
