If you have a question about Nexus that you’re curious about, it might be answered on this page.
Where is Nexus’s data stored?
Nexus’s data can be found in these directories:
- Windows:
%userprofile%/.aitum - MacOS/Linux:
~/.aitum
We store all of your command data, variables, and more on your computer rather than the cloud. If you move to a new PC and would like to keep your Nexus data, we recommend copying the directory above to your new drive.
What technology does Nexus use?
Nexus is powered by Electron, and a bunch of other cool open-source software! You can find a full list of credits and licenses inside Nexus, in the Settings section.
Does Nexus require an internet connection?
Your master Nexus instance requires an internet connection to connect to our cloud services. Our cloud services proxy information from our database, Twitch and other third-party integrations for you to use in your commands while you’re using Nexus.
What does Nexus do that others don’t?
Nexus has a number of advantages over similar products in the streaming space:
- It is fully cross-platform and can be used across Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
- It creates connections between multiple computers, such as a streaming PC and a gaming PC.
- It has full native MIDI support.
- It has a clean, easy to use user interface. We don’t expect our users to know how to program.
- We have a responsive development team to work on features that you want to see, based on feedback in our Discord server, and provide support.
…and more! But don’t take our word for it - you can try Nexus on a trial basis through our website.
Does Nexus have a beta program?
Nexus has an invite-only beta which is provided to a small subset of our users to test upcoming features and updates before public release. If you’re interested in being part of the beta, and you use Nexus frequently, ask one of the team on Discord.
